I have 4 removable drives on my computer that DO NOT EXIST! I have a partitioned hard drive (C&D) DVD is "E" and CDRW is "F". Windows explorer shows "Removable Drives, G, H, J and K. These drives do not exist. When I click on them, It says." Please Insert Disk In Drive (So and So)". How did they get there and how do I remove them? Please Help.

Do you have a flash card reader, like for a digital camera? If so, there's your drives.

Your HP computer most likely came like my Compaq. They installed (enabled) these drive letters for the optional media disc readers that come in the new computers. (8 in 1 memory card readers) Mine has this and they enabled quite a few drive letters for this feature. Did yours come with the card reader?
