Starting with the reformat previous to my most recent (tonight's) and ever since, a mysterious drive letter has shown up in my computer. While it is not really creating a problem other than the annoyance of its existance, it does seem to be forcing my secondary hard drive's format to "Bad" in partition magic. Meaning, i can't partition it. Formatting the secondary doesn't execute properly.
While the drive does show up in my computer, pulling up the drive management screen shows my three healthy partitions, yet not the elusive F:\ drive. I can't format it, open it or do anything. I'd love to know how to fix the whole problem, but anything as simple as just deleting the icon would be appreciated. I'd really like to be able to partition the drive, as it's 80 gb and usually at least half full, making reformatting a backup nightmare.

Partitioning with disk management worked, and in the process fixed the problem.
Thanks anyway guys :)

Brian,
I'm not sure how to get rid of the mystery drive letter but i do know how you can restore your secondary drives letter to the proper letter. <Right click> on "My Computer" and choose "Manage/Disk Management". You may be able to get rid of the mystery letter here but i'm not sure as i've never had a mystery drive? But you can choose the drive you know about and assign which ever letter Partition Magic wants to see it as. If that happens to be the letter of the mystery drive just change the mystery drive to another letter first as obviously you can only have one letter per drive. Hope this helps! ;o)
ciao,
wired
