Is anyone familiar with Nobeltec navigation software?Am having problems with going from a Garmin 230 gps out its serial port into the usb port on a Compaq laptop. We have to go thru a serial to usb converter and have loaded the appropriate drivers for that converter. We cant get Nobeltec to recognize any gps data even though hyperterminal says the laptop is getting gps data.Device manager under ports says serial on usb port (com 4) and the gps setup wizard for Nobeltec says gps detected on com 5.I know this is a shot in the dark and im sorry about no info on the computer as its my friends.I can say that its a brand new Compaq laptop with xp home and the latest bells and whistles so its a good machine.Thanx for reading this and helping should you decide to take on this mission. This computer will self destruct in five seconds......
