i got the vista transformation pack and when i uninstalled it and did a system restore, some icons were still there from vista. I got it fixed by using this tool and at the bottom of the list there is an option called "Repair." Use it to rebuild the icons from xp. http://download.microsoft.com/downl...

if you have an XP disc, (not a recovery disc) go to start>run>sfc /scannow otherwise keep trying with TweakUI, it took it a few times for it to fix it for me.
