No Video In Windows Media Player

My Windows Media Player 10 does not show video but plays audio for some video clips. These clips played fine before today. I do not know of any changes that may have caused this. I have checked GSpot and it says that I have the correct codec installed and it previews the video and audio correctly. I used GSpot to re-register my codec and it did not solve the problem. I also tried to reinstall the codec but the problem was not corrected. The files in question all appear to use the MPEG Video Decoder and MPEG Audio Decoder. I downloaded and installed another codec bundle with a MPEG Video Decoder but that did not solve the problem either. Media Player 10 does not give any errors it just does not display the video. When playing the same files in Media Player 6.4.9.1125 that comes with Windows XP the videos play fine.

I installed the free version of divx as Jase suggested and it will play the files but I still have the same problem with Media Player 10 not playing the files.

I have Windows Media Player 10 and I also downloaded the free version of DIVx and have all the current codecs, however, I still cannot see the video. I can only hear the audio. HELP!
