No UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values

Specs: Windows XP
Finding the class listed in treubleshooting article. when I right click I do not find upperfilters or lower filters? I find the following:default....Dvd Cd drives
etc etc in tis class it is effident Page 32 is not allowing the class.... CDROM TO OPERATE??

Most people want to delete the upperfilters & lowerfilters to fix a problem with their CD/DVD drives. Since you don't have those entries, your problem (whatever it may be) apparently has nothing to do with the filters. What exactly are you trying to fix?

The Registry does not need any upper or lower filters entries for the CD/DVD drive to work.

You may, however, be looking under the wrong key for the filter entries.

If you are trying to get Autorun working. Try this.

Make sure Shell Hardware Detection Service in Services, is set to Automatic.
To access Services.
Start > My Computer, right click & select Manage.
Click on the + next to Services and Applications.
Click on Services.
