Comment:

Today when I tried to load Powerquest Drive Image 7 it failed to load and popped up a window entitled "Not Connected" which said "No such interface supported". The Drive Image window in the background is grayed out with no options available except "Reconnect", which delivers the same error. The program loaded fine yesterday. I don't know what to do to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

When you say "load" do you mean install or open the installed program?

Thanks for your response.
When I said 'load' I meant 'start the program'. It was installed 2 days ago and loaded (started) fine until today when I got this cryptic message. I can't seem to find any guidance specifically related to this problem with Drive Image 7. I have found similar issues related to JavaScripts and have tried to apply those solutions but to no avail.

Try repairing the program by going to the Add/remove programs choice in Control Panel. Select Drive Image for removal. You may get a chioce to remove or repair. If not you may still want to re-install it.

Was this installed from a download or a CD?

There is no repair option in Add/Remove Programs. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but, no joy. The program was installed from a CD. I have used the program successfully for years on my old W2K box and initially it worked fine with this XP Home Edition (SP2). But now it balks for reasons unknown.

Suddenly, today it is working! I have no idea what has changed. I downloaded some XP updates late yesterday and then shut down the computer. Then today, after rebooting, I found that Drive Image loads perfectly and I was able to backup the drive. Go figure.
