Hi, Right now my PC is unable to start up. Initially when I tried to turn it on, I get a prompt for me to put in the recovery disc. How I can't even go to the WinXP start up screen. The furthest it went was until the system check. Is it due to faulty graphics card?

faulty graphics card usually won't even allow you to see post and startup options so I would assume no.. could be that you don't have an appropriate driver for it and it can't handle the higher resolution of windows regular mode. have you tried tapping f8 and booting into safe mode? btw. do you have any reason to suspect the graphics card? was that a recent install? if so you can swap the card for another and see if that helps.

Hi trdj,
I have not tried on tapping the f8 yet as i've taken out the HD to check for virus in another friend's house, so far my HD is virus-free. I will only be getting my HD back in a week's time.
I suspect its graphics card bcos before the problem, I'm using the exactly the same configuration and OS options. Now I can't boot up.
I'll try to get my HD back and do a what you suggested and let you know again about the outcome. In the meantime, thanks
