run Windows XP.

I’ve got no sound in IE8.

I’ve tried everything and extensively searched the internet for solutions –
K-Lite Codec Pack Tweat to fix problems states that the Reg Create Key Failed
– and I manually tried to create the key Go to START > RUN > REGEDIT.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
Create a new String value named “wavemapper“. As value give it “msacm32.drv“.

(RIGHT CLICK the RIGHT WINDOW / NEW / STRING VALUE –enter “wavemapper“
HIHGLIGHT wavemapper for VALUE AS and enter– msacam32.drv
- as suggested by
http://weyland.be/wrdprss/index.php...
– it says that I cannot rename the key as it already exists but the only key
in this registry is a (Default) key with value not set.

Does anyone have any other suggestion. I have sound in iTunes and Windows
media and this problem with the registry editor seems to be it as I have
tried everything else eg uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player and
resetting sound devices. I think this sound problem is also interfering with
my Sony Vegas so I can make DVD's from my video camera.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
