Hello,
I just recently upgraded from WinME to WinXP Pro. However, I no longer have any sound. I've gone through device manage and the trouble shooting, I got the latest driver package from soundblaster.com and ran the diagnostic program that came with it and still no sound. If anyone has any suggestions or know's any fixes then I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

have you done your windows update since the upgrade?
I can install XP and run all the drivers but I still get no sound untill I run windows update and select all that is in the drivers section.

hi,
try doing the following, click on start, then to all programs, you will find a program under the name creative, click on that to open another window, on that you will have an option soundblaster live, click on that will open another window on that click on restore defaults, you can also do the diags after the restore defaults has been done,
go to the volume control window and ensure that none of the options has a mute checked, ensure that speakers are turned on,
and check for basic settings. that should put the devices to work, else let me know

i have the exact same problem. tried installing SP1. but still no sound!
(also did "restore defaults")

have u tried checking on Control Panel, Sounds & Audio Devices?
make sure volume is not mute & put to high;
check on each tabs to see if correct driver, etc. okay.
also you should try uninstall the sound driver and reinstall it.
just experiment each and every possible ways.... like i did on mine with same problem as yours; mine works fine now!
