no sound on laptop after upgrade to xp

no sound on toshiba tecra 8000. yamaha opl3-sax wdm driver. told by add hardware "device disabled because firmware did not give the required resources (code 29)" and I dont know what im talking about!! If you do please help. thanks jim.
