No sound in XP after dual boot

I posted something in Networking, but think it's more of an XP issue. After setting up a friend's Toshiba Satellite laptop to dual boot with Vista Home Premium (original OS) and XP Pro, I could boot into either OS. Everything in Vista was fine, but found no sound and no network capabilites on the XP side. When running ipconfig /all, no IP info shows up at all. It looks like this may just be an XP driver issue - since the laptop came with Vista Home Premuim installed, it probably didn't have the sound or network card drivers needed for XP. I'd appreciate any input on this issue.

Thanks XPUser. I didn't want to do a duplicate post, but I did reword the post to indicate that I thought this was really an XP issue. Thanks for your input. I already went to Toshiba's website, downloaded XP sound driver, and burned them to a CD. (The laptop is located at our church, and they are still on dial-up!). Looks like I will have to get XP drivers for the network card, too.

OK Good luck in finding compatible drivers. Now that you have mentioned Vista/XP Dual boot, you need to be aware that System Restore points and other recovery features in Windows Vista are affected when you dual-boot with Windows XP. For a workaround, read/bookmark for church the following article.
