For some reason if I go on youtube or some video website I do not hear sound coming out of it. I have re-installed my sound drivers and that doesn't work either. I have done everything I can to make it work but all my tries are fails. When I look on sounds and devices and I go to voice, then voice playback it is blank. I select on the realtek audio and then when I press apply it dissapears for some strange reason. My sound works in game but not out of game. I cant even hear my computer logging off. If theres a solution please tell me ASAP thanks. Anyway to save all this chat I will be putting some links to images down below that I would like you guys to check out please. Thanks again.

O and plus on sounds and devices the place in taskbar icon doesn't show up on my taskbar... Why is that?

Here are the images

You put your Model/Manufacturer as n/a. It is applicable actually. What brand and model is your computer? You'll need to install the sound card as a hardware device and then install the drivers.

What model is the MOBO? You could try downloading Belarc Advisor and see if it will properly identify the sound card. Does Device Manager show your audio properly?

Also if you hold alt and press PrintScreen, it'll take a pic of just the active window.

My links don't seem to be working right, go to the above link and click on the heading "Youtube, Dailymotion Google Video, Flash Games and Applications No Sound and Audio in Windows" and it should get you there.

This might work. It worked for me.

Go to System Devices panel.
Right click on your sound device,
choose "look for harware changes"
It does the rest by itself.

Haven't read all of the posts, but I was having audio problems (i.e. ... no sound at all) after installing Windows XP service pack 3, and subsequently allowed an update to my audio drivers through Windows "automatic updates". It seems that a new Realtek High Definition update automatically occurred that seemed to change my entire audio configuration, resulting in no sound until I did this:

Start > My Computer(right click > Manage > Device Manager > + Sound, video and game controllers > Realtek High Definition Audio (Right click, then "Disable" this feature)

Magically, my sound came back. Sometimes, nosing around DOES payoff??

Anyway, not a geek or guru, just wanted to be a "giver" instead of always being a "taker". Maybe this will help someone with similar issues.

Peace to all!
