no sound from sound jack in Windows XP

Specs: Windows XP
My pc can play sound, but after I remove sound jack and whaen I put back my pc can't play sound.

Help please.

You probably have HD sound which uses programmable sound ports. Look for sound manager and use it to select what you want the port you are using to do.

If you had posted your system specs as advised when registering here I might have been able to be more specific.

how do I know about HD sound which programmable sound port? I already go to sound manager, but my pc can't find for sound device.

Sorry, you need to look for Audio Manager. Realtek Audio Manager places an icon in the tray by the clock. You will know by the pictorial graphics showing the area of the ports.

I guess I was too subtle above. Post the model of your computer for crying out loud.

Look at page 17 of the manual linked below. I don't even know if you have Realtek HD sound because you didn't post specs.

At 1st time I receive my pc its work good. But after I change my monitor to other and I change back after that my pc can't play sound.

My monitor include speaker sound.

What is the computer manufacturers make and model number?

Are there any errors showing in Device Manager?

Use headphones to see if anything is coming out of the sound socket because it seems odd that things have changed because of plugging in and out.

I dont know my audio manager is realtek or gigabyte. causes icon is realtek but when I double click shown gigabyte technology. Its not same from Ur link posted.
