Hello, I hope someone can help me. About a week ago my sound just stopped working in explorer and Firefox. The windows volume control disappeared as well. I've tried a lot of things and nothing has worked thus far. The volume in my games work as well as Ventrilo. But in the setup part of Ventrilo it says "No mixers are available", its never said that before. Can someone please assist me or at least tell me what the problem could be, thanks!

are you using a laptop or a desktop? Go to control panel and try un-installing the hardware, then restart the pc and see if your sound is restored. if not, you may have to physically disconnect the audio card, and reseat it to ensure proper connection. By the way are you using the most up to date drivers?
