My computer says I don't have an audio device, my speakers work, but I get no sound, I get an alert Found new hardware, yellow multimedia, but it won't let me install it, I also get a beep everytime a dialog box comes up.

You need to install the audio drivers. Can't help you with that because you supplied zero info about your system.

Carnation, you're operating system needs the sound card driver for your sound hardware.
