I Have a epox 8KHA+ motherboard with ac 97 sound. Recently i got a second hard drive and put xp on it. Only problem is now i have no sound at all. It doesn't even pick up the Ac97. And my other hard drive with win 98/ME runs fine, sound and all.

Go to the motherboard manufacturers web site, and download the latest drivers for your board model. They will usually include XP drivers. If the board was manufactured by a third party and sold under a different name, you can determine the manufacturer by looking up the FCC ID. Just go to http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/. Just about any computer part will have this number silkscreened directly to the circuit board. XP does an excellent job of detecting hardware, but sometimes it doesn't do it all.
