Okay so basically I am clueless ^_^ I don't have sound, I did everest and did driver search
nothing is coming up and truthfully don't know what I should be looking for. If there's a program that is basically a third party to look at my screen or something that'd be awesome. If you need any info tell me pretty me EXACT instructions to get it and I can. Yes I know - I'm computer stupid.

I would have said to download audio drivers for your computer, but I went to the site and I don't see any drivers available.

Did Win XP detect your audio? Try clicking start->control panel

Then click on "add hardware", and see if it had a problem finding your audio.

Or maybe your audio is simply muted. start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment->Volume Control

It isn't drivers already did that - I don't even have a volume thing. What you said bout the add hardware thing I did it and each one of the ones with the sound icon next to it says this is working properly. But when I go to sound and audio devices it says no audio device
under the volume tab - if you look under the audio and voice tabs you have things you can choose - there all greyed out to me. What now?
O btw thanks for the help ^^

Right Click on "My Computer" icon. Click on "Hardware" tab and then on "Device Manager
". Scroll Through and see if any icons have either an exclimation point or a red X by them. If they have either, that is the trouble, most likely. See if you can find a driver for something like that. I know that with my XP PC, I needed a MBoard driver for onboard sound, so see if anything pops up.

Yea I have 2 but it's an USB controller and a PCI modem doubt they have anything to do with my sound. I think I figured it out. Since I have a integrated sound card that I need to get my reformat CD from Emachines. Anyone got any opinions?
