The problem is when it goes into standby and I come back the sound does not work. All mutes are off, nothing is changed, it just wont work until I reboot. Has anyone had this problem, and if so what do I do to fix it?

First I would try to find the most recent sound driver. 2nd make sure Windows is updated including all drivers. 3rd, I would check your motherboard vendors site to see if there is a BIOS update that may fix this issue.
