Hi Ppl,
Each time boot/reboot, checkdisk always runs (finds nothing), reboots, then windows tells me Xp recovered from a serious error.
Now I for sure don't believe shutting down correctly means that this a deadly thing to do, so how do I stop checkdisk running, and Why does it say the error everytime, when there is no problem with the computer?
I have let the checkdisk run, plus done full scans and scandisk/spyware/virus. and the system is clean.
In fact, I am glad it's running so good, apart from these errors.

Disable Chkdsk

brilliant information. thank you very much.
Nothing mentioned about why it says it recovered from a serious error. maybe its a standard window after checkdisk.
many thanks.

Why you were getting that error message is beyond me, but I'm glad the info helped. Thanks for posting back.
