Hi
all exe files are coming up with (the file does not have a program associated with is for proforming this program. I thought the exe files does not have a association with them. I have done a virus scan and spyware scan on a differet pc. with problem started after a microsoft reg clean.

you backed up your windows registry before fiddling around with it? (as it is highly recommended to so for a reason :-)
if not, try system restore from an earlier restore point.

djmrman, Go to the link below and download the "Fixswen.inf" file. Save the fixswen.inf file to your local hard disk, right-click on the file and choose install. Hopefully your inf file association isn't hosed.
