your xp partition is probably an NTFS one, and the ME will be a FAT32 one. ME can't, to my knowledge, read NTFS drives. i'm not sure how, but i think you can convert your xp drive to FAT32 without messing it up. but, again, im not sure.

i wouldnt recommend running xp on a FAT32 drive though, as it has poor compression and abilites.

i'm sure someone else will be able to post more help here, so wait a bit and see :)

The way stuff is shared on XP Pro is more complicated than you might think. Firstly, goto View tab in Folder Options, right at the bottom, disable Use simple file sharing (Reccommended).

Then right-click the folder you want the Me PC to access and click Sharing and Security. On the sharing tab, click Share this folder. Type a share name, and then click Permissions button. If you are not too bothered about security, make sure Everyone is there, and that they have full control. Click OK to everything.

The next big thing is to make sure the user accounts on the Me machine are exactly the same as on the XP machine. Otherwise, it won't work.

Me can read stuff on NTFS drives, by the way, so don't worry about that.

Good luck!

FYI: you can't convert NTFS to FAT32. It was made that way because of the security that NTFS has and Fat32 doesn't.
