Sometime I get an error on my Internet explorer that chat causes a wave after wave of an empty web page, it says no page to display. About two or three of these appear every second!! It usually stops around 50-60 or so. Any attempt to close them or disconnect internet has no effect, more just take their place! This overlaps all programs and processes. My only recourse is to CTRL-ALT-DEL and end IEXPLORER.exe on my Task managers processes menu. If this helps, here are the 2 sites that usually appear on address bar

do a google search for a program called 'ad-aware'. download that and run it. it sounds like spyware could be doing that to your computer, although it could easily be something else. that's my best guess though.
good luck with your problem
