I applied an AI Package from Ghost to my Compaq Evo N610C laptop from my ghost server. This AI package was Novell Client. Afterwards the Local Area Connection dissappeared from My Network Places. I've tried to manually add a Local Area Connection with the Network Setup Wizard but it never shows up even after I reboot the laptop. Without the Local Area Connection I cannot connect to any computers on my network.

Does the hardware show up during the wizard process? Does the hardware show up in the device manager? Try uninstalling it completely from the device manager and "scan for hardware changes" and see if windows finds it again.
