I have a question.
I'm on my business laptop, on which I am logged in a company domain. My
problem is, that our administrator recently disabled Internet on my laptop
(not generally), so right now my only option is local Intranet which is for
business purposes only. That was done because of some
"risky"individuals...So what could be done, to restore internet connection in
IE, so that i can read my daily news on the Internet. And bye the way, i have admin privileges, so i have no restrictions... Google
chrome works fine, but i prefer IE because of certain reasons.Thanx!

There's a number of things that could have been done to disable IE. If it's not too much of hassle, you may try asking your adminstrator what was done. Can you even access IE? If not, the first thing I would try is to look under Set Program Access and Defaults under the Start > All Programs and see if the "Enable Access to this Program" box is unchecked. If that doesn't resolve the problem then it could've been disable through the Group Policy editor or a non-existent proxy server was set up or ... only your administrator may know.
Hope that helps.

"I just right-click this, delete those, pull that out, and voila ... instant paperweight!"

Thanx for your reply Greg!
Anyway, i can use IE, but only on our Intranet sites. I think,
surfing the internet, was disabled trough the Group Policy
editor or proxy server, as you mentioned. But nevertheless, as
long as I can use Chrome or Firefox for surfing on the internet,
I'm not that desperate! :)
