no internet on desktop computer

internet works on laptops but doesn't work on desktop. we have checked connects and rebooted but no change.

Check the My Network for whether the network card is enabled.

Is the routers LED blinking for that port, where your computer is connected to?

Click START / RUN and type in CMD and press enter.
Type in:
ipconfig /all

Is there an ip address listed, other than 169,254.x.x ?

is the desktop wireless or directly wired to the router?
