ok, here is the deal. I have a laptop that i travel with. I only use a broadband with this laptop whether i am home or not. When i am home i can browse the network fine. I can see all the workgroups comps and browse there files with no problem. but no internet access. After i go through all of the steps i know how to perform. As well as using both the ie connection wizard as well as the network setup wizard i still can't connect. Any ideas?

Do you have TCP installed on your computer? Click Start/Run/type cmd and click OK. Type inconfig /all to see your whole TCP configuration. Then type in /release and /renew, then /all again. Something should be different at this point.
Do you get some kind of socket error?
