Specs: Windows XP
Major issues. Decided to do a clean wipe (although not sure how) and a new install of windows (although not sure how once again) Needing to back up all files but can't drag them to cd to burn, cant copy and paste them there and cant send them there. I put in a flash drive and cant get it to open. I also need to mention there is no internet connection being made. I have tried to make a new connection with no luck. There are no connections at all listed in the Network Connections section. I also have things pop up that say windows installer couldn't be found. Found Wild Tangant program in add/remove but can't remove it. :/ Please help!
Geek Squad came in for 2 hours and couldn't fix it. Had no clue about any of it.

glad you mentioned internet not conn., cause that was my first thought, to upload. do you have network capability? (not internet, just local) then you could use that to offload your datafiles to another peer/server. (but also potentially infect with virus). or use F8 F8 F8... during boot to get boot-options menu and try command-prompt, use diskpart to create a new partition ("drive") and try to copy files thence.
short of that, with no CD burn capability, my only option (being limited knowledge) is back to the stone age of floppycopy (if your computer even has one). I know there will be better help forthcoming, sorry not more here...
