carried out a system restore and now i have no icons on desktop and a message appears which states that BROWSEUI.dll was not found and reinstalling this may solve problem. would be most grateful if anyone could tell me how to do this. i am unable to access system restore to undo changes as i am unable to access windows.thanks.

Download from here. http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?browseui Unzip browseui.dll & put on a clean floppy. Put a boot floppy in & start the comp. ( if the bios is set OK it will stop at an A prompt. Take out the boot floppy & put in the one with browseui.dll on. After the A:\> prompt, put this > copy a:*.* c:\ This is how it should look, note the spaces after the A prompt, copy & *.* I am assuming XP is on C drive. a:\> copy a:*.* c:\ Now hit Enter. When copied, take out the floppy & reboot.
