No Icons Displayed on the Desktop

Hi everyone, I am using Windows XP Pro. After my machines boots and loads stuff, there are still no icons displayed on the desktop. I have tried many different ways to make it work, but it did not. It works just fine with Safe Mode. Please help. Many thanks in advance.

If it was a clean install of XP there will only be 1 icon, the recycle bin. If you upgraded over something you may have formatted your disk and only XP remains, hence, no icons.

Hi Have you tried Rt. click on desktop...arrange icons by...click on show desktop icons

hi there.. all you gotta do is go to starts and there you will see all the Icons that you normally look on the desktop .. all yo go which ever you want to on the desktop .. right click on it send it to the desk top ..
