Hi I have bought a panasonic px1150 dot matrix printer (i need it for work), but its come with a floppy disk to install the drivers, but i've no floppy drive. I've looked for drivers on the net, but it still needs a floppy to run.....Help me anyone please.
Thanks
I don't believe you will find a driver for WinXP. I think you may have the model number wrong too. All Panasonic Dot Matrix printers models start with a K. I think you have KX-P1150. Below is the link to the Panasonic printer site. The latest OS listed is NT 4.
You may be able to get it working by using emulation for another brand/model of Dot Matrix printer. You will need to contact Panasonic about that.
Many printers will emulate an Epson model.
WinXP may be able to configure the printer by using the add hardware option in Control Panel.

Are you sure that's the correct model number? Might it be a kxp1150?

There is a driver for a virtual floppy that may work.
Don't know if Subst or other such tools will work anymore.
"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

If you are planning on running the printer on Winxp don't bother with the floppy disk. Isn't the right drivers for WinXP.
As I said above, try connecting the printer up and using the Add hardware wizard in control panel. Maybe you will get lucky. You will probably need to buy ribbon cartridges online too, if you get it working.
