Ok recently i started having this problem when I played games like deltaforce LW...I have the game installed on the hd with an No-Cd patch so i dont have to insert the cd everytime i wanna play it...Well recently i would go to play it and it would say "there is no disc in drive...Please insert disc into drive E:"....I thought it was the game but its not...It also did it on a little program which wasnt even installed on a cd (winrar)but it was askin for a cd anyway...And when that please insert cd came up u could either insert the cd if it had one or just keep hitting cancel and it would disappear and the program would load...But it was getting just annoying..Anyone know why this comes up? It doesnt happen everytime but it does come in spurts....anyone else have this annoying problem? Any help, info or anything else would be great.

this is just a guess.. nothing more..
but try cleaning out your startup folder in msconfig.. there may be a program causing this issue.

I checked what u said...And i only have 5 things runnin and there all checked...
Nerocheck
Zonealarm
Norton
Microsoft Office
Theme rebootThis one is gonna be kinda difficult to solve unless someone knows for sure what it is cuz it doesnt happen all the time...But when it does happen it might do it 6 times in 1 day...I talk to someone that had the same problem and he had it happen every once in awhile but had no clue of if it was something he installed or what...If anyone knows post it...Thanx for the help so far

Ok did you put XP over an esisting operating system, in which the game was already installed. In other words did you say have ME with delta force on it, then upgrade to XP? If so you need to uninstall the game and reinstall it. This happened to me with Office 2000. Just a thought
