No Disc HELP!
was playing PES on this PC until Installed a new DVD/RW and O/S Win XP Home.

My set up was , Master .. DVD..CDROM .. Slave CD/RW and everything was ok..

Installed my new WIN XP Home .. and then took out my old CD/RW. As I was installing my new DVD/RW the instructions said that it would be best if the DVD/RW was the Master Drive, so the jumper was preset on Master I hooked it up to the IDE cable and on the same cable 2nd drop I plugged in my old DVD/CDROM and moved the jumper to Slave as per instructions.

D:/ DVD/RW ( Master )
E:/ DVD/CDROM ( Slave )

the thing thats driving me nuts is that both drives D & E see the PES3 DVD Disc and I can Install the game from either Drive, you can click on the Auto Run Screen if you want to read the ( Read Me or Install Direct X or Uninstall or Settings ) and it takes you to take screen, but click on play in the Auto Run screen and up come the legend > No Disc Inserted .. retry or cancel...

can someone tell me what is wong and how to fix it or point me to a site anything .......... I am at my wits end with it...

The DVD works fine Burning and playing CD ROM games as does the DVD/CDROM it too plays CD ROM games, it just that when I try and play PES3 none of these Drives see the Disc. As I have said, they see the disc when i was to install the game of it or use the Auto Run Screen to get the settings up and running or install DX or Unistall just agggggggggggggg does not see it when I want to play it??

Thank in advance .............. if you can't help could you point me to someone who can .. again many thanks!

Shot in the dark here, but sometimes when you install a game via a certain drive letter it adds that frive leter to the registry. I am not really sure what game you are talking about so I am not sure if this applies to you. But, if it is the case you can just change the drive letter using the diskmgmt util back to whatever letters you origionally had. This won't effect your master/slave config just the letters your os assigns.

We've had exactly the same problem with PES3. Have you managed to solve it?
