No Desktop icons + Win Explorer

I am unable to accss my desktop items. it is due to some kind of malware or virus. I dont know exactly what the problem is but i found that there is some kind of file running with the name AMVO.exe
So any help regarding this (AMVO.exe) virus or malware will be appreciated
The 'Security and Virus' forum would have been the best place to post for virus help. However, A Google search for "AMVO.exe" turned up a lot of promising sites.
