I have two cd drives. One is a Cendyne 52x24x52 cdrw. The other is a Ricoh DVD Rom and cdrw. They both work fine when only one is installed. When I install both of them, they are both recognized but only one will work properly. For instance right now the Cendyne is working properly but the Ricoh says there is no cd inserted no matter what cd I put in. I have tried changing master/slave connections, putting one on the cable with the hard drive. Changing the drive letters, getting the updates and searching for firmware updates. Nothing works. I can only get one or the other to work at a time. I used to have them both working under windows 98 so I think its an XP problem but I can't find the answer. Hope someone can help. Thanks.
