No burning with Nero 5.5.5.1.

I have a Ricoh CD writer with Nero software. It is not working even with the latest Nero 5.5.5.1. which is XP compatible, according to the developer's web site. It burns the cd, but it is unreadable. I updated the my xp from the web with the burning patch already. Can anybody help?

You might be able to run with the compatability wizard in the accessories menu. You can emulate win95,98,me or NT service pack 5.
You can right click to get the properties then create a shortcut and sort out compatability all in one.

I will try it.
Now I'm taking a try with Easy Cd creator 5.1 trial. And I've disabled the in-built burning program. (part of media player)
I hope one of the three will help.

The Roxio cd creator apparently has problems on xp. Something to do with file clashes with the version that they put in xp for ms(havent tried this though). 5.5.5.1 works well for me but apparently the Consensus is that 5.5.4.0 is better!

Hi, I tried Easy Cd creator, I tried Compatibility Wizard, and disabling media player, but it is the same.
I also tried with several other burning softwares but nothing happens.
I'm going slightly mad...
Of course I'll try 5.5.4.0

Just remembered that there is a fix for some cds/burners on their site. Maybe yours is one of the affected ones!!
