Comment:

When I turn on my computer sometimes freezes or has a blinking white line _ like that. Or it goes through the screen that says windows xp and a blue line saying it's loading then turns to a black screen that says...
Intel UNDI, PXE 2.0 (build 082)
Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation
SiS900 PXE BootRom c1.09 Hook Int18
CLIENT MAC ADDR: realy long #
PXE-E53: No boot filename received
PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel PXE ROM

and then it does that over and over

BTW I noticed Expert Exchange may have some blocker installed in place. If you revisit the same page twice without restarting the computer, you will not see the solution.

looking at your message i dont see anything related to the hard drive. You might go into bios and see if your hard drive is listed. If you cannot get into bios I would check that the power cable to the hard drive and the ribbon cable is secure on both mobo and hard drive. Possibly replacing the ribbon cable. i've had some weird things happen when the ribbon goes fubar.

Hey guys I'm having the same problem with my computer, but I'm not sure..im also on Windows XP Home, and not connected to any networks or anything..my comp has had been causing some problems before it..like there was something about a physical memory dump of the hard drive, and when i try rebooting the comp with the windows xp disk it says no hard drive is found? do you think there may be a loose wire near the hard drive? please let me know? need to fix my laptop before heading back to college!!!
