No boot device detected

Specs: Windows XP
Hey My Computer which is dell demension e521 has a big problem when i start it up it says no boot device detected press f1 key to continue or press f2 key for setup. This happened after i remmoved the cmos for about 10 to 15 mins because forgot the bios then when i put the cmos back and turn on the computer it saayys no boot device detected message is it something about the computer boot order or the settings have been changed when i took out the cmos if so how can i get them back to normal. Thank You

By removing the battery, you reset the BIOS settings to their defaults. Did you enter the BIOS & correct them again?

i dont know how to correct them and how they werre before so can u tell me what i have to change?
