I recently had a power outage while computer was on. I was in a game. When I start my computer now, in:
Normal mode, I get a blue screen which shows for all of half a second, then the computer reboots. This happens right after the windows XP loading screen.
Last known good configuration, same thing.
All safe modes, no blue screen, just reboots.
I pulled out all my memory and inspected it, looks fine. Put it all back in, no change. I figured it was linked to my memory because I've seen that screen before with faulty RAM. Any other ideas?

Something might have gone screwy with the power supply. After I shut down my comp by tripping the surge protector my PSU was fried. Hope that helps.
No time for love, Dr. Jones!

pop in ur winxp cd
boot from it
goto the recovery console
run CHKDSKexit when done
rebootthat should fix it
hope that helps

Yes, that would be a good idea, if I had a legal copy of XP. I have no possible way of running the XP CD unless there is a boot disk for the recovery console.
