hello

hey all i have a GA-7NNXP mobo 1.25 gb crucial ram
geforce 5200 fx. seagate HD 80 gb
amd 2500(unlocked) clocked to 3200(volcano 9 of course) its been running fine for thepast 8 months. But i turned off my comp one day and went inside my case to just move a couple of wires and the thing wont boot or show me bios or anything . no beep too!
I switched mobo to a shuttle ak31v1 and vid card to a bunch of geforce 2's that worked last time i checked.... no solution yet guys.. any thoughts?
thx anyways.

Several possibilities but if you have changed motherboard/graphics/ram then that only leaves powersupply or CPU. You seem to be in denial over the possibility that a component being stressed above it designed operating parameters might just fail despite the "volcano 9 of course"
Another possible cause would be static discharge due to improper grounding when you were moving those couple of wires.

Try swapping out your power supply unit. It sounds like it may have blown. Once you have found a suitable replacement, take out all pieces of hardware apart from:

power supply
processor
motherboard
one stick of memory

Then take out the BIOS battery for a few minutes to reset it. Once you've put it back in, try booting the computer. If it works, add each piece of hardware one-by-one until you found the fault. If there's no fault, it was just your PSU getting blown (but it's likely it was a piece of dodgy hardware or a power surge/spike).

I hope this helps,

James

well i said that thing about the volcano 9 because i wouldnt overclock it that high with a regular heatsink/fan. im sorry but i forgot to mention that the first time i tried to turn it on it did make a loud beeping sound as if something was wrong( not your regular "beep") it did this the first 15 times i pressed the on/off button. Then it just gave up... no it turns on and nothing happens... no bios no beep no visual on my monitor. i also forgot to mention that i did switch cpu witha amd 1800+ . The only things i havent been able to swap are the psu and ram.
