No background tab in display properties!

I recently upgraded from Win98 to WinXP. For some reason I have no background tab in my display properties. I have tried installing various versions of my display drivers (nVidia) but to no avail. Anyone any ideas?

Sorry, I meant no Desktop tab, but it means I can't change my background.

was it there witha standard vga adaptor driver before you started installing all the other drivers? thats a problem i've never seen... any issues with the upgrade from 98? No sure myself as i've never had the need to do it.
