I have just purchased a copy of Audio Cleaning Lab 3.0 Deluxe so I can record some old LP's and cassettes to MP3. However.. (nothing ever is straight forward!) I cannot hear the audio through my speakers, even though the program is registering the sound input via the VU meters and I can playback what's been recorded perfectly. Not being able to hear what is being recorded is a problem as I cannot hear when the track ends etc. I use the LINE IN socket connected to the "headphone" socket of my player. Both Line In boxes have been ticked for recording and playback in the windows sound control panel. My (built-in Asus A7V8X mobo) soundcard is reported as "Avance AC97 Audio" When I run a test on the hardware from the volume properties I get the error: Dpvsetup.exe cannot be found and sndVol32.exe does not exist. Any help appreciated. All i want to to is "hear" the sound being fed into the pc whilst recording! Thanks
