Comment:

My computer running xp recently crashed. I reinstalled and everything seems to be working, except that I just tried playing an mp3 and my computer says I have no audio device. Obviously the audio card was not removed, but how do I fix this? Any ideas?

You have to reinstall your audio driver using device manager/assistent.

When audio-driver is installed (loaded but not started) then update in "device manager" in register card "driver" with the installed driver ... may it works.
