No audio device detected - HELP!

Im hoping someone can help with this.......I recently installed a new copy of Windows on my PC and am having a problem with audio which was working fine before. When I go to control panel it says no audio device detected. I have downloaded a report of my system from Everest and hopefully the following will help someone with expertise on the subject to diagnose the problem:
Motherboard chipset : ATI Radeon Xpress200
Audio adaptor: ATI SB450 - High Definition Audio Controller
MotherboardName: Rio (GA-8TRC410MNF-RH) Type: µATX Manufacturer: GigaByte
There is no mention of the sound card manufacturer in the report and i think it is built into the motherboard. I would appreciate any help as im pulling my hair out here!

go to your motherboard manufacturer site and look for downloads or drivers.Then select the model of m/b as everest shows then get audio drivers and install.Here is link to website, I cant find anything you posted, but maybe a look at the website then again at everest info you will find the audio driver.In option 2 use the ga-8xxxx option.HTH. http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_List.aspx
