Hey guys, reaaally hoping you people can help me, I have searched the net back to front, tried so so many things, but still no luck.

It is that pesky and somewhat common "No Audio Device" that is seen when I open my Sounds And Audio Devices from the control panel.

My soundcard is the Creative Labs Model SB0610, and from what I can tell, this uses the SB Audigy 4 Drivers. I have uninstalled and reinstalled these many times, nothing.

When I look in my Device Manager, it says that the Device is working properly. However, there is a yellow ! next to Microsoft Kernel Acoustic Echo Canceller and Microsoft Kernel Audio Splitter. Both of these have the Code 42 error. Do you think this is related?

Please, any help would be appreciated!! :)

Do you also have the integrated sound chip enabled in the BIOS? If so, try disabling it.

Chuck 2: That was the first place I looked, for Code 42 errors its only solution is "Restart Your Machine". Which I have obviously done about 30 times by now.

OtheHill: I am having difficulty finding that option in my BIOS. Is it the Audio AC97 one? I have tried disable and tried auto, but still no luck :/

Use disable. Then go to Device Manager in Windows and remove ALL references to any sound devices and reboot.
