No ADMIN Account ???

XP PRO...
The computer only shows 1 account...even booting in Safe Mode...only one account shows.
The problem is...
Whenever I try to change settings, delete/move a file off the desktop, etc...Windows does now allow it.
The message sez something about not having enough access and needing to log in as a an admin..etc.
But...this is appears to be the only account.
Has anyone experienced this/found a solution?
Thanks, Kev100

Hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete twice & see if you get a logon screen, if you do - change the user name to administrator & punch in the applicable password or leave blank & hit enter.
If blank does not work & you don't know the Admin password - then you probably shouldn't be doing this in the first place.
Good luck!

One could delete the admin account. Any number of other issues could cause this. There is a floppy that you boot from to see accounts and you can send it off an in a few days they will email you the password. Search for xp administrator password the petri site has the place. They will charge for few hour service if you need it.
I would consider using a live cd to save important data off. (Doesn't work on encrypted folders)
Then I'd consider some type of repair to the accounts or a ntbackup restore or even a reload.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
