My system was working perfectly with win98. I have a linksys nic hooked up to a linksys router (along with 2 other computers). My connection was working great until I upgraded from win98 to winXP (new software required NT system). XP informed me that I might have trouble with my Linksys nic and once the upgrade was completed XP recognized the nic, installed new drivers for it, told me that it was working perfectly, but no data is getting through the connection. Also, the connection is still working for the other 2 computers on the network (hence I'm posting this message). So our DSL connection is not the problem. Is there any chance of getting a Linksys Fast Ethernet NIC to work with WinXP or do I have to actually buy a new NIC? I'm pretty darn sure I've seen other XP systems using Linksys hardware to connect, what's going on??? Thanks!!!

I had this problem before.... Open your computer, unplugged your nic and plug to different pci/isa slot. Should be working after that.... Later on, if you want to plug to the previous pci, you can do that
