A friend of mine ran Ad-Aware 6.0 on her computer which was infected with New.Net After she did this her IE ceased to work and her IE always goes to the loop back addy 127.0.0.1 She says she has tried the LSP-Fix but did nothing. Things like MSN etc work fine so she does have a internet connection. Any Help would be appreciated =)

I had the same problem. I tried updates for IE, tried reinstalling IE, tried deleting some IE stuff from the registry (don't mess with it unless you know what your doin). None of which worked. You probably had something latched on to your IE.exe or the files that help run IE, and you must have deleted them along with the spy-ware or ad-ware. You could either download Netscape Communicator and use that instead of IE, or reinstall WIN XP, which you will have to reformat your drive, as I did. Back up whatever you want to keep if you have a burner, or reinstall it after you setup WIN XP. Or maybe get a second opinion.

Did you try going into IE properties and resetting defaults? Reset default home page too from IE properties.
rt.click on IE icon on desktop>scroll to properties>programs tab>hit reset web settings, advanced tab> restore defaults. when you reset websettings it will ask if you want the default home and search pages reset too. do it. ok your way out good luck
