Hey There,
I recently bought my first computer and I wanted to know the best way to get rid of the pre-packaged crap that came with it. I'll need a pretty verbose description since I've not had much experience with this area. I mostly want to streamline my overall system performance. I have all of my drivers and updates and I just need to know the best way for putting what I want on the system and getting rid of all of the extra crap!

Well, you could start in the control panel then Add/Remove Programs.

Well...the best way to get rid of all the crap is to format and reinstall XP...then add whatever software you want.
You say you just bought your new computer...if your computer came with restore CD's as opposed to the actual XP CD, you're not going to be able to reinstall without re-installing everything else with it. If you do have the XP CD...format away! ;)
