New build for computer, new XP SP1 install, IE won't connect to the Internet. Two hdd's on box, second hdd has Ubuntu 8.10 installed and connects fine. XP pulls a valid IP address but IE won't connect to any page. At beginning of install, full (not quick) format for first hdd, install went fine. Can't connect to perform updates.
Any ideas?

Did you install the networking card drivers for the XP installation.
Check the device driver and see if there is a problem with the networking card!

I knew I forgot to mention something. Yes, I did install the Marvell mini-port driver off the motherboard CD, rebooted, and XP pulls a valid IP address off the Verizon FIOS modem/router. I wonder if the default home page site was down and I was just tired last night. When I get home tonight I will disable Window's firewall and play with it some more.
I do appreciate all the help.
Thanks
